2013 December Daily Kit4:00 PM
Hello and welcome! The Studio Calico Creative Team has prepared a blog hop in honor of the 2013 December Daily kit presale. For those of you who are not familiar with the December Daily concept: It's an album project that aims to document the holiday season. There are people who document on a daily basis and others who just pick their favorite moments; some document "only" the 25 (24) days leading up to Christmas and others go beyond that. It's totally up to you!
As you probably know, I am mainly a cardmaker but I love me a mini album and just looking at the cute embellishments and gold/red/aqua hues in the December Daily kit has me swooning. Want to see what I'm talking about? Let's all grab a cup of coffee and take a look at some sneaks, k?
A particular favorite for me are the gold number clips you can see in the below picture. Aren't these so fun? I can totally see them being used for a DIY advent calendar and afterwards tucked into the December Daily album on the respective day :)
There's no Studio Calico kit without a gorgeous stamp set, right? This one was designed by Elise Blaha Cripe exclusively for the December Daily Kit.
Love how graphic and versatile the stamps are! You can see the full stamp set on Studio Calico's preorder page by the way.
The Creative Team was asked to share a favorite moment or thing of the holiday season we would love to document in our December Daily. Honestly, since I don't have kids, I wasn't even exactly sure if there is much to document for Christmas, so went back to my photo folders of last December... and there it was: The slightly panicking me, waiting in line to get some winter tires a few days before heavy snow came down. The birthday of my BFF. The office Christmas party. A tree trimmings party. Visits to Christmas markets with yummy food and some hot, spiced punch. Family visits. The rush to finish gift shopping in time and wrap the presents up for the big day. A last breakfast with a good friend before the new year. The excitement of getting my first SC team kit shipment of course! And lots and lots of cookies :)
Nina on the first Sunday in December - was a sure hit to kick off the holiday season right.
The photo above was a quick snap with my iPhone and shows just half of our collective loot which the eight bakers could share in the evening. My favorite recipe was probably this one - I mean, peanut butter! Need I say more? ;)
